Japanese brand Patchy Cake Eater was definitely one of my favourite shows at Tokyo Fashion Week. The collection was fresh, quirky as well as exciting. I’m a huge fan of the brand as it masters the bridge between modern and classic tailoring, bringing it forward to today’s fashion. The brand is based on British tailoring with outstanding attention to detail. The collection adds a twist to standard suiting, which in my eyes is what the Japanese are renowned for. The modern take on the sixties mod was also very visible throughout the collection, a big trend for AW14. The brand definitely had the all-round trendy man in mind. Overall, the show had the right balance of themes and inspiration, which classed the range as super trendy, wearable fashion.
It’s definitely one of my favourite shows and I look forward to seeing the collection in stores.
